Is there a trick to removing clay from the glass ball?
I've tried to make bowls and such with the same technique, but if I try to remove the clay it becomes deformed. : (

I don't have such a trick. Maybe don't crumple clay to long, only little, so clay stay little hard, not so sticky

What is the pencil? Do you add pigment from that as well as the paint?

it's dry pastel and yes. pastels are better pigments for fimo liquid than acrylic paint

witaj

pozdrawiam!

liquid jest nieco przezroczysty sam w sobie. jeżeli dodajesz pasteli, zachowuje tą przezroczystość (też robiłam herbatę), jeżeli farby, to ją traci (i konsystencję). nie ma do modeliny nic bardziej przezroczystego niż liquid

ale rękawiczek, to używaj... albo przynajmniej myj ręce przed pracą z modeliną.
Taka moja rada.

jeżeli masz dobre rękawiczki, to w niczym nie przeszkadzają... ba, a nawet ułatwiają. Polecam rękawiczki chirurgiczne na małe ręce.

My ratio for liquid clay vs medium is usually never more than 50/50. :)

okay... but how can you assure the liquid is equal with the medium?

pastels aren't too much of a problem -- you really can't add too much. it's the oil-based mediums you gotta be careful with. because I've sometimes added too much medium and it'll be soft AFTER baking. :/ I just put a little bit on a spare piece of paper, mix, and then see if it's tinted enough. if you want syrups for example -- you want them transparent. you add a tiny amount, mix and see if it's colored to your liking...but still see through. it's really trial and error with how transparent/opaque you get your glazes/icing/etc.
